Enter into Faerie Land
When I was in high school another thing other than vampire young adult novels that were popular, at least in my friend group, was young adult faerie novels. Our school's library had a variety of them, so we had a lot to chose from. The only downside was they typically only had one book in a series. I don't know about you, but I find it annoying if I start a series and am unable to finish it. This leads me to not reading as many of them as I would have liked.
You might be thinking wow that's a jump from vampire to faerie how in the world did that happen? Well, I think it was more about the fantasy and the romance that drew us in. It's no wonder that the only official romance novels I will read now have to include some type of fantasy element. That, however, is a story for another blog. Which I might do in the future or I might make it into a story time video for YouTube.
Speaking of YouTube this week I uploaded a video review of O.R.Mellings The Chronicles of Faerie. I'm aware it has some flaws, but it's my first review, so I didn't expect perfection. This series was one that my school's library offered. During that time I believe they had the first three. I however only read the first two. At the beginning of this year, I reread the first two and finally read the last two. I thoroughly enjoyed this series. If you haven't read it I highly recommend it.

I have compiled a list of books about faerie that were popular among my friends. Even though I myself I haven't read all of them I plan to in the future because I love faerie and have immense respect for them. That might have been obvious with my faerie altar in my sacred space.
Wicked Lovely
This five-book series was being published during my last few years of high school. That didn't stop people from reading it. Once my best friend finished the first book she gave it her seal of approval, and that is good enough for me. I currently own a copy of book one and it's on my list to read. When I do my book switch out, I have two libraries one at my parents and one in my apartment, around Christmas I will most likely bring it back with me. That is if I have my list of Paganism books finished that I would like to get done before the end of the year. I am currently reading Earth, Air, Fire, and Water by Scott Cunningham.

Wicked Lovely
Aislinn has three rules for dealing with faerie; don't star, don't speak, and certainly don't attract their attention. These rules, however, have had no effect on the Summer King falling in love with her. In his mind, she will be his Summer Queen and nothing can stop it. Everyone and everything Aislinn loves hangs in the balance

The Faerie Path
500 years after her disappearance on the eve of her wedding Tania the princess of Faerie is found and brought back. Her soul is conflicted and still yearns for her human life. It doesn't talk long for her to remember why she left in the first place. This time she is determined to save Faerie from the evil forces that seek to destroy it.
This six-book series was also being published during my time in high school. The first two were published in 2007. I have not read this book yet, but it was and is on my list of books to read. I picked this book up at a book fair most likely in the same year it was published. However, I had too many books on my to read list and it slipped through the cracks.

There are so many other books about Faerie that I couldn't possibly include all of them. As I find other books about Faerie that I love I will add them to this list. Also when I finish the books already on this list I will add a link to the video review of them.
